James C. Bartholomew
Principal Attorney
James graduated summa cum laude from Lewis & Clark Law School where he focused on estate planning and taxation. He earned a 4.0 G.P.A. and worked as a research assistant for two professors. He also served as a law clerk for a local attorney. Through this coursework and experience, James developed a knack for getting to the bottom of tough multi-faceted legal questions and interpreting their practical ramifications.
Prior to law school, James worked in the multimedia field developing automated systems for media encoding and delivery, teaching workshops in technology, and producing film and video projects. The troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills he picked up in those pursuits still come in handy today when putting together custom-tailored legal solutions for clients.
When not focusing on his law practice, James enjoys photography, camping, and exploring Central Oregon with his wife and daughter.
